Dr.ArokyRajU, B.E.(Hons), PGDIISc, M.Tech., Ph.D., MBA, M.C.S.E. PRINCIPAL.

Dr.ArokyRajU has a wide experience in Research, Training and Teaching. He has a very good exposure to Industrial Systems & Energy Sectors: Power, Oil & Gas.

Dr.  ArokyRajU is a B.E. I Class with Hons, in ECE from Madras University, which he obtained in1974.  He also secured the Second Rank in the University. He holds two post graduate qualifications, namely the PG Diploma in Electronics and Microprocessors from the prestigious IISc, Bangalore and MTech(CS) from JNTU,  Hyderabad. He has also been awarded the Ph.D. degree of Osmania University, Hyderabad in 1984 for his work on ”Developing a Real- time Power Plant Simulator for Operator Training, using Multiple Microprocessor Systems. In addition he acquired a MBA from the same University in 1992. He holds a Microsoft Certification M.C.S.E and also underwent training on Data General Systems, Peripherals and AOS System in UK & France - especially on tele-systems used on offshore oil fields.

 Dr.ArokyRajU worked for 8 years (1974 to 1982)  in Research & Development Unit of B.H.E.L unit at Hyderbad , as Senior Development Engineer, developing real time Power plant simulator for operator training using multiple microprocessor systems. He was sponsored to PG studies to IISc as part of in house research and development requirements. For the next 21 years  (1982 to 2003)  he was with ZADCO Oil & Gas Offshore, Abudhabi, UAE as Network Engineer in ITTN (IT Telecom & Network) department.  He was awarded the meritorious certificate for long service with zero accident and zero HSEMS incidents at this place. From 2003 to 2007 he worked as the On Job Trainer, IT-Telecom Interior, Petroleum Development, Oman, responsible for training of IT-Telecom staff,  installation and operation of systems like WiLan, FOC-VOIP over IP for rig connectivity, configuring & troubleshooting, switches & routers. He was awarded a certificate for excellence for training the IT-Telecom staff here.

 Dr.ArokyRajU then switched over to the Academia and joined the Bharat University, Tambaram, Chennai as Professor of IT in 2007. He took over as Principal of the Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering on Oct, 2009.

He brings to this college his rich experience in the Industry on in some of the new technologies and as a trainer and educator for many years. He, therefore, has a flair for teaching and academic administration. His areas of specialization and interest presently are in Data Security, VoIP & Blended Learning.
