Rules for Hostellers

All Hostellers are instructed to strictly abide by the following rules:

1.      Hostellers are able to present in their respective classroom by 8.20 am sharp.

2.      No Hostellers is allowed to stay in the hostel after 8.15 am except if he/she is sick and bedridden, which should be certified by the doctor/Nurse at the clinic. He/She should apply for leave in the prescribed form, which should be signed by Warden/ Nurse / CAO / HOD for onward transmission to the principal for approval.

3.      No Hostellers should visit the hostel during college hours under any circumstances whatsoever. He/She should come to the college duly equipped with lab coat, lab uniform, books etc.

4.      No Hostellers should celebrate birthdays within the hostel premises. If necessary, they can go out of the campus by taking prior permission from the competent authority.

5.      No Hosteller is allowed to entertain any day scholar in his/her room. The penalty for this offence will be expulsion from the hostel.

6.      If any Hostel property is destroyed in the common places such as corridors, staircases, bathrooms etc, all hostellers will have to pay the cost thereof together with a penalty imposed by the authorities. If any hostel property is damaged or lost inside the room, the concerned hostellers will have to bear the cost there of with penalty.

7.      The girls will have to sit in the extreme right hand side of the canteen and the boys in the extreme left hand side and maintain discipline.

8.      Hostellers will be allowed to go to Sriperumbudur only once a week on Sunday for purchases with prior permission. They should return to the campus by 6.30 pm.

9.      Hostellers will be allowed to go Chennai twice a month as a detailed below with prior approval obtained from the Principal in the prescribed form.          

Boys 1^st & 3^rd Sundays                                                                  

Girls 2^nd & 4^th Sundays                                                                                    

They should return to the hostel latest by 6.30 pm. During roll call by the warden all the students staying in the hostel should be present. If any student is absent at the time of roll call without prior permission he/she is liable for disciplinary action.

10.  The following study timings should be observed daily:-                                            

6.30 pm to 11.00 pm. Dinner will be indicated at CANTEEN TIMINGS.

11.  Rooms should be kept clean and personal belongings such as clothes, books etc should be kept orderly and neatly and should not be strewn on the bed or floor. Footwear should also be kept neatly arranged in a corner      .
